Questions
Who can see what I browse?
No one. Your browsing history is never sent to us or stored. To check whether a site is adult, the site’s name is looked up through a family-safe filtering service; we never receive it.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no password. Your settings live on your phone.
Does it block everything?
No filter can promise that, and we won’t. 316 Shield is built to be hard to get around, and we publish what it can’t do.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. It’s your phone. You can turn protection off or uninstall at any time. Loosening a rule waits 24 hours, so a hard moment doesn’t undo a choice you made on a good day.
How much does it cost?
New subscribers get a 14-day free trial, then an Individual subscription through Google Play. The price is shown in Google Play before you subscribe. Cancel anytime in Google Play.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. 316 Shield is Android first; iPhone is coming later.
What about my kids?
Kids mode isn’t available yet. Today 316 Shield is for adults (18+) on their own phone.
Can I use it to watch my spouse or another adult?
No. 316 Shield is for protecting your own phone.
Can a friend or partner get reports?
Not yet. Accountability partners who see counts only (never your history) are coming later.
Will it slow my phone or drain my battery?
It filters site lookups on the phone and checks itself every 15 minutes. Some phones’ battery savers can delay those checks; Help shows how to keep protection steady.
Does it read my messages or screen?
No. It uses Android Accessibility only to hide Reels, cover apps you chose to block and keep protection from being switched off. It never reads your messages or sends what’s on your screen anywhere. This version does not check images.
Is it a replacement for counseling or support groups?
No. It’s a tool that supports the people and programs who help you. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988.
