Adult-site blocking

A built-in blocklist of adult websites, checked on your phone by a local VPN. It works in every browser and app.

  • Your traffic is not routed through our servers.
  • Site lookups go, encrypted when possible, to a family-safe filtering service.
  • Well-known VPN apps’ websites, web proxies and encrypted-DNS services are blocked too, and your own “always allow” list can’t unblock them.
  • If Private DNS is set to a named provider, the app shows “Protection reduced” until it’s turned off.

App rules

Choose the apps that pull you in and decide how much room they get.

  • Block an app completely.
  • Set a daily time limit in minutes.
  • Set bedtime hours or rest days when the app stays closed.
  • Stricter changes apply right away. Looser changes take effect after 24 hours.

Hide Reels

Keep Facebook and Instagram for friends and family, without the endless video feed. Optional, one switch.

  • Hides the Reels tab, the Reels player, Explore, Stories and the Reels row in the Facebook feed.
  • Facebook and Instagram can change their screens at any update; then some Reels may show until 316 Shield is updated.
  • Turning it off waits 24 hours.

Strong in weak moments

When you open something you chose to block, you get a calm pause, not a lecture.

  • A block screen with a short “ride it out” timer.
  • “Need to talk to someone now?” opens crisis help (988 call or text in the US).
  • Loosening any rule waits 24 hours. Tightening is instant.
